Platform and implementation choices
If an existing SaaS product covers the process, configuring it may be simpler than building from scratch. Custom development makes sense when workflows or integration are specific, but it creates responsibility for code, hosting, security and updates. I discuss those operating costs before choosing.
What to prepare
Bring an example of the current process, forms or files in use, user types and current pain points. If the app needs to connect to a system, API documentation and a test environment help with the estimate.
Scope and limitations
An application cannot be estimated from a screen list alone: rules, roles, data and possible errors matter as much. Third-party services have their own limits, and products involving sensitive data need clearly defined security and legal requirements. I do not promise a complete product before its problem and first scope are defined.
After handover
At handover I define who manages accounts and data and how updates are handled. Support, monitoring and expansion are separate services shaped around availability needs and responsibilities.
